Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026

WhatsUpLex is a free civic transparency tool operated by an individual resident of Lexington, Massachusetts. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily provide when subscribing to notifications:

We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, or any other personal data. We do not use cookies for tracking.

How We Use Your Information

Your contact information is used solely to send you the notifications you requested: Lexington School Committee meeting alerts, vote notifications, and meeting digests. We will never use your information for marketing or advertising.

Information Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information. We use the following services solely for message delivery:

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate site traffic — pageviews, referrer sources, country-level geography, and device class. This service does not use cookies, does not track individual visitors across sessions, and does not collect IP addresses or any personal information.

The data we see is anonymous and aggregate. We use it only to understand how many people are reading the briefings and where they're coming from, never to identify individuals or build profiles.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your data is deleted within 30 days.
